Our Expo for 2019 – held on 14 December – was once again a highly successful and joyous activity, showcasing the variety and depth of skills of our talented and enthusiastic members.

Marvellous displays greeted guests as they arrived in the foyer, including art works, floral arrangements, photography and textiles. The afternoon continued in the theatre with live entertainment, fun and music. Our line dancers started the event with their energetic and catchy dance routines; our Italian and French language students provided hilarious skits in language; and our musicians and choristers finished the entertainment with an eclectic and entertaining musical journey.

Afternoon tea was a great hit too, with the room filled with conversation. Social interaction is one of the keystones of U3A and this event showed how well we are doing in providing opportunities for that.

A membership help desk was also set up at the Expo and was very well attended, including many new members who will be warmly welcomed into the U3A fold.
