What is U3A?

The idea of having a local organisation to support people in the third stage of life (active retirement) to keep their minds and bodies active began in France in the 1970s and has now spread to many other parts of the world. Now, U3A allows people to continue to learn and share their knowledge and skills, and to exercise and socialise within an inclusive community setting.

Are You a Third Ager?

Have you moved beyond the career-building or child-raising years and finally entered a phase when you can devote more time to yourself?

Then U3A may be for you.

If you are retired, no longer working full time or finally free of the kids, you might like to participate in some of our social, creative, educational, physical and leisure activities.

Together we explore ideas and develop new interests and skills in a sociable and supportive environment.

Where to find U3A Emerald

You can find us in the Hills Hub at 404A Belgrave-Gembrook Road, Emerald.

Our face-to-face classes are mostly held at the Hills Hub, depending on the nature of the class or activity.
